At Skill Tradr, we respect the grit and hard work of the skilled trades. We are committed to protecting the privacy of the employers building teams and the tradespeople building careers. This policy explains how we handle your data across our website, resources, and the easy.jobs powered dashboard.
We collect information to help connect talent with shops.
For Candidates: Name, contact details, resume/CV, trade certifications, work history, and any technical test results processed through our dashboard.
For Employers: Business name, tax ID (where applicable), job descriptions, and billing information for the $2,500 placement fee.
Technical Data: We collect IP addresses, device identifiers, and browser types. This is used for site optimization and for the enforcement of our security and non-circumvention policies.
We don’t sell your data to third party advertisers. We use your information to:
Facilitate the hiring process through the Skill Tradr Dashboard.
Verify the identities of both employers and candidates.
Enforce our Non Circumvention Policy (using IP and domain data to prevent platform bypass).
Send technical CNC guides, hiring blueprints, and platform updates.
Your recruitment data is processed via easy.jobs, our primary dashboard partner.
The Role: Skill Tradr is the Data Controller; easy.jobs is the Data Processor.
Security: Data is stored using industry standard encryption (AES-256).
International Transfers: Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other global regions where easy.jobs maintains servers, subject to Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure your protection.
Depending on your location, you have specific rights regarding your data:
GDPR (EU & UK): You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data (“Right to be Forgotten”).
CCPA (California): You have the right to know what data is collected and to “Opt Out” of the sale of personal information.
Standard Retention: We keep hiring data as long as your account is active. Transactional records are kept for five (5) years for tax and legal purposes.
Security Retention: If a business is found circumventing the $2,500 placement fee, we retain associated email domains, business identities, and IP addresses indefinitely on a “Blacklist” to prevent re entry into the platform. This is a necessary measure for the protection of our business model.
We use cookies to keep you logged into your dashboard and to see which resources (like our CNC guides) are most helpful. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the dashboard may stop working.
We use SSL/TLS encryption for all data transfers. However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for your Skill Tradr/easy.jobs account.
As we expand into new trades like Electrical and HVAC, we may update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes via the email address associated with your dashboard.
